Looking for an Emergency Pediatric Dentist? When your child is in pain, it can be devastating and hard to get to the bottom of what is going on. Even though dental emergencies may be uncommon, they do happen and our team at Montgomery Pediatric Dentistry in Princeton, New Jersey is ready to help! We work our hardest to get your child out of pain and fix the problem quickly.
Types of Emergencies
There are many different types and levels of pediatric dental emergencies and depending on what your child could be experiencing could determine when they should come to see us.
Knocked-Out Tooth: Children are very physically active and may even be participating in physical contact sports. Because of this, there is a risk of a tooth being forcefully knocked-out which is very painful for the child. If we are immediately contacted, there is a chance that the tooth can safely be put back into its original place.
Chipped or Broken Tooth: Breaking or chipping a tooth will make it more susceptible to being exposed to decay or debris. If this happens to your child, contact us immediately. Depending on the size of the chip, it may require a repair that we can do in our office to fix the tooth.
Toothache: Having an aching tooth can cause constant pain for your child. Make an appointment to see us as soon as you can, so we can get your child out of pain and fix the problem, whatever it may be.
Swollen & Bleeding Gums: Gum problems are often a result of unremoved plaque or decay in teeth. If gums are swollen and bleeding more than just when your child brushes and flosses, please come visit us.
After Hours Emergency
Is your child suffering from extreme dental-related pain and needs to see us immediately? If so, we have an after-hours emergency phone number for our existing patients to use to get a hold of an Emergency Pediatric Dentist. This number can be found when calling our office after hours on the answering machine.
