Concerning COVID-19

To Our Family of Patients,

As COVID-19 spreads and is now officially in our own community, we are taking safety measures to protect our patients and our team members.

We have decided to close Montgomery Pediatric Dentistry, for the time being, effective Monday, March 16th. This decision was not made lightly. And as members of our community, we feel we are doing what is right for the public health of our families. We will continue to update you as we move forward.

Although, we have universal infection control procedures in place, we cannot protect our patients against affected individuals who have shown no symptoms.

If you weren't aware, there were 3 positive test results for COVID-19 in Montgomery, 1 of whom is a lower middle school student who attended school before exhibiting symptoms. This means people have been exposed to the virus in our community. The numbers in Montgomery Township and surrounding towns will only go up from here. It is now the general public's responsibility to "flatten the curve" and reduce the impact on our healthcare delivery system. Please stay home and keep elderly family members and those with compromising medical conditions out of your home.

All canceled dental appointments will be rescheduled for a future date and we will make plans to handle the increased demand for appointments once we re-open.

If you are experiencing a true dental emergency such as severe pain, swelling, infection, or permanent tooth dental trauma, please call the office and you will be directed to Dr. Ciano or call 609-429-4456 to reach Dr. Ciano directly. If anyone of our patients requires treatment for urgent dental care, Dr. Ciano will open the office on a case-by-case basis.

We thank you for your business, loyalty, and patience as we navigate these uncharted waters.

Dr. Christina Ciano
Owner, Montgomery Pediatric Dentistry
